ACRIL SAF 107 is a retarder with .affinity to fibres and prevents a too rapid absorption of cationic dyes on the PAN fibre by occupying the reactive, anionic fibre groups.

ACRIL, SAF 107 has high retarding effect in the heating - up phase, which is maintained for an extended period even after reaching the final dyeing temperature, which is of special advantage for PAN fibres with a higher dyeing rate. This retarding effect is maintained for an extended period even after reaching the boiling temperature. At this temperature range ACRIL SAF 107 also develops a good migration effect. On account of this double action excellent levelling effects are achieved with this product.
On account of its high effectiveness for the dyeing of PAN fibres of any origin and each kind of processing. ACRIL SAF 107 is suitable for loose stock, tops, continuous filament and HB yarn as well as for woven and knitted goods.
Application :

Coloristic index of : ACRIL SAF 107
Saturation factor (f) = 0.6
Saturation factor (s) = 3.5
(at a fibre Saturation value of 2.1)

The optimum amounts of ACRIL SAF 107 is be applied depend on the type of fiber, depth of shade and on the dye-stuffs used.
The following average amounts of ACRIL SAF.107. are necessary:

                                    Dyeing rate of the fibre
Dyestuff                         medium                        higher

below. 0.1 %                2.5 - 2.0%                     3.0 - 25 %
0.1 - 0.5 %                   2.0 - 1.5 %                    2.5 - 2.0 %
0.5 - 1.0%                    1.5 - 1.0 %                    2.0- 1.5 %
1.0 - 2.0%                    1.0 - 0.8 %                    1.5 - 1.0 %
2.0- 4.0%                     0.8-0.5 %                      1.0 -O.8 %

Dyeing Instruction:

Starting temperature : 50-70C
    1-3%    Acetic acid(PH 4-5)
       5%    Sodium sulphate anhyd.
       1%    DISPERTEX DEW
       X%    ACRIL SAF 107

Run the materia shortly before adding the dyestuff. Then heat up slowly to 98-105C and dye for further 30-90 min.
*) DISPERTEX DEW is used as non-ionic dispersing agent in order to keep the dyeing machines clean. But it has no influence on the levelness.

The use of a special migrating auxliliary may be of advantage in particularly difficult cases.
We recommend to use apart from ACRIL SAF 107:
            1.5%        GENEUCOL  MI  60%

Levelling of faulty dyeings:
For the levelling of faulty dyeings we recommend :
            3   - 5%    GENEUCOL MI 60%
            10 -20%    Sodium sulphate anhyd.
            PH 4-5
            60 min at 98-106C
